Persons who operate a wholesale fish business (market) or solicit the purchase of or buys fish for wholesale distribution should be licensed with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources; telephone (517) 373-8201.

A sales tax license may be required. You may call the Michigan Department of Treasury at (517) 636-4660 and request a 518 sales tax form.
