When engaged in the business of installing and repairing mobile homes who are not employees of a licensed mobile home installer and repairer or a licensed mobile home dealer should be licensed with the Department of Labor & Economic Growth, Bureau of Construction Codes, Building Division at (517) 241-9317.  

Anyone licensed in Michigan as electricians, mechanical contractors, and plumbers are not required to be licensed as mobile home installers and repairers as long as the work performed is the installation and repair of the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components of a mobile home.
