A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) should be licensed with the Department of Community Health, Bureau of Health Professions, Board of Nursing at (517) 335-0918. www.michigan.gov/healthlicense

In addition to issuing regular licenses, the Division may issue temporary licenses to newly graduated nurses with examination scores pending.

Nurse's Aides may call to receive a list of establishments where they may get the job training in their field of expertise; with the Department of Community Health at (517) 241-0554.

School nurses & nurse's aides should obtain an interim, standard, or professional school nurse certificate from the Department of Education, Teacher Preparation and Certifications at (517) 373-6505.
