Plumbing Inspector

Required State Registration:

Plumbing inspectors employed by a county, city or other unit of government for the express purpose of enforcing the state plumbing code shall be registered with the Department of Labor & Economic Growth, Bureau of Construction Codes, Office of Local Government and Consumer Services; (517) 241-9347.

Further Information:

Registered plumbing inspectors are required to have experience 2 years of experience as a licensed journey worker or shall be licensed as a master plumber under the provisions of 2002 PA 733 (formerly 1929 PA 266) and maintain their registration through continuous education requirements that are mandated by state law.
