Required State License(s):

All facilities providing day care for children should be licensed with the Department of Human Services, Division of Child Day Care Licensing; (517) 373-2035.

As of July 1, 1991, if the facility is not connected to a city water system, water should be tested by the county health department.

Child care centers should have personnel trained in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. HB 4615, PA 349; bill signed and filed 12/15/94.

Good liability insurance is highly recommended.
