[This does not apply to a business which only sells or manufacturers alarms, unless the business also services, installs, monitors or responds to alarms.]

When engaged in the business of fire alarm contracting a license is required with a local licensing jurisdiction or the Department of Labor & Economic Growth, Bureau of Construction Codes, Electrical Division at (517) 241-9320.

When installing auto alarms a license is required with the Department of State, Mechanic Certification Section; (517) 373-9060.
