In Michigan, it is illegal to possess gaming equipment, except by licensed casinos. Casinos and suppliers to casinos are licensed with the Michigan Gaming Control Board. Only licensed casinos may possess gaming equipment that has been acquired with a licensed supplier. Slot machines and other gaming equipment may not be removed from a casino without the permission of the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
