Well Pump Installer

Required State License(s):

When installing or repairing water well pumps or pumping equipment (pressure tanks, controls, etc.) a license is required from the Department of Environmental Qualilty, Well Construction Unit, (517) 241-1370.  Persons may install or repair a well pump for their own personal use within a single-family dwelling on their own or leased property, without a license.

Further Information: 

A Michigan licensed master plumber may also perform the work of a pump installer.
