Required State License(s):

When raising or selling protected wildlife (pheasants, quails, ducks, geese, deer, raccoons, etc., a license is required with the Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Division; (517) 373-1263.

Anyone who harbors animals or birds in captivity for pets or other noncommercial purposes a "Possession Permit" is required with the Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Division; (517) 373-1263.

When importing state protected bird(s) or its egg(s), protected and non-protected game, or fur bearing animals an Importation Permit is required with the Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Division before the species are shipped to the state(s); (517) 373-1263.
