Installers/Manufacturers are required to be licensed with Department of Labor & Economic Growth, Mechanical Division; (517) 241-9325.

The responsibility of the manufacturer is to check for UL testing and approval before shipping product for consumers use.

Depending on the type of product sold, a sales or use tax license may be required. You may call the Michigan Department of Treasury at (517) 636-4730 and request a 518 sales tax form.
