Air Charter Service

Required State License(s):

Aircraft must be registered with the Michigan Department of Transportation, Bureau of Aeronautics and Freight Services by calling 517-335-9719.

If operating at a temporary location, a temporary field permit will be necessary.  For additional details go to the Bureau of Aeronautics and Freight Services website.  To obtain a temporary field permit complete MDOT form 4086, submit payment, and a site inspection will be necessary.  For additional information call 517-335-9681.

Federal license(s):

Air Charter Services are licensed with the Federal Avaition Administaration (FAA).  Contact the local FAA office.  The three FAA locations are Grand Rapids: (616) 954-6657, Detroit: (734) 487-7222, and South Bend, Indiana: (219) 245-4600 (covers the southwest corner of Michigan). 

Facility will be inspected and flight checks of pilots are required every six months.
