Asbestos Removal
Required State License(s):
A Contractor must become a licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) - Asbestos Program; 517.322.1320. Individuals working for Asbestos Abatement Contractors must be trained in proper procedures for asbestos abatement. Once trained, these individuals must be accredited through the LARA-Asbestos Program prior to performing asbestos-related work in Michigan. Asbestos Training Course Providers and Asbestos Training Courses must be approved by the LARA-Asbestos Program.
