A sales tax license is required with the Department of Treasury. You may call the Michigan Department of Treasury at (517) 636-4660 and request a Registration For Michigan Taxes form (518).

Other Possible License(s):

Special watercraft registrations are available to dealers and manufacturers for use on any watercraft used for testing or demonstration. The fee is $30 for each three-year registration. If a dealer finances all purchases, the dealer is required to be licensed as an Installment Seller with the Office of Financial & Insurance Services; (517) 373-3470.
