Licensing Information:

Carpet Cleaning: There is no state license required for carpet cleaning.

However, many local governments, cities, townships, etc. do license these services. Contact your local city or township clerks office.

A sales tax license may be required if any products are sold to the public. You may call the Michigan Department of Treasury at (517) 636-4660 and request a 518 form.

Janitorial Service: There is no state license required for cleaning/janitorial services.
