    Courier Service

    Required State License(s):

    Should be licensed as a Motor Carrier with the Public Service Commission, Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs at(517) 241-6030.  

    An exemption is allowed for those businesses who pick up and deliver within an eight mile radius of the city in which the business is located. THIS EXEMPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE DETROIT METROPOLITAN AREA. Contact the Public Service Commission for details.  

    If you are delivering outside of the eight mile radius discussed in the second paragraph, you should be licensed with the Motor Carrier Division.  

    Additional permits may be needed depending on the type of product being transported.
