Electrical Inspector

Required State Registration:

Electrical inspectors employed by a county, city or other unit of government for the express purpose of enforcing the state electrical code shall be registered with the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Construction Codes, Building Division; (517) 241-9347.

Further Information:

Registered electrical inspectors are required to have experience 2 years of experience as a licensed journey worker or shall be licensed as a master electrician under the provisions of 1956 PA 217 and maintain their registration through continuous education requirements that are mandated by state law.
