    Hygienist - General

    Agency: Licensing and Regulatory Affairs

    Required State License(s):

    When engaged in the practice of dental hygiene, which includes removing accretion and stains from human teeth, performing deep scaling and root planing, polishing restorations, placing and removing surgical dressings, and performing other related duties with an assigned licensed dentist, a Registered Dental Hygienist license is required with the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Health Care Services, Board of Dentistry; 517-335-0918. 

    Industrial Hygienist, Certified -- Certification is available with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. Before taking the exam, applicant should have been/or is actively involved in the industrial health field.
