All persons engaged in the manufacture, importation, possession, transportation, and sale of alcohol must obtain a license from the MLCC. Licenses are issued by the MLCC in accordance with the requirements of the Liquor Control Code of 1998 and administrative rules.
A Brandy Manufacturer License must be issued in conjunction with a wine maker or small wine maker license. A Brandy Manufacturer license authorizes a person located in Michigan to manufacture and sell at retail brandy that it manufactures at that licensed premises.
