Occupational Definition:

Set-up, operate and service machine tools.  Machine tools are large, power driven machines which drill, grind, shear, or shape metal.

None

Other Possible License(s):

Depending on the size of the operation contact the Department of Environmental Quality for further information about air quality; (800) 662-9278.

When hiring welders, contact MIOSHA for specific rules and regulations that pertain to the newly employed welders; (517) 322-1851.

Further Information:

Contact your local unions, schools, and colleges who provide apprentice programs and a certificate of training upon completion of the course.
