    Moving Company

    Required State License(s):

    Michigan Motor Carrier Act,
    Michigan Compiled Law, Chapters 475-479. 

    Any and all business entities seeking to operate as a motor carrier of household goods must submit an application for authority to transport household goods with the Michigan Public Service Commission.

    Upon review, a required waiting period, and the carrier's compliance with other Motor Carrier Act requirements the Commission may or may not grant the certificate of authority. 

    Visit www.michigan.gov/mpsc select "motor carrier/forms" to print a blank "Application for an Intrastate Motor Carrier Certificate - Household Goods" and instructions.
