The Michigan Bureau of Commercial Services, Corporation Division offers a
seminar for new non-profit officers, directors and members. Seminars are
offered monthly from March thru October at our Okemos office (2501 Woodlake Circle,
Okemos MI) from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. There is a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per
person for attending the seminar.
2010 Seminar dates: March 31st, April 29th, May 26th, June 29th, July 29th, August 25th, September 30th and October 28th.
The seminar covers a wide variety of topics including director and officers
duties and responsibilities, indemnification, charitable
solicitations, financing, tax issues, filing requirements and record keeping.
Class size is limited so please submit your registration request, at least 2
weeks prior to the seminar. You will receive confirmation of your registration
by email or phone call from the agency. Please make check payable to the State
of Michigan
and mail along with it a copy of the registration form to: LARA, Corporation
