Paramedic

Required State License(s):

Any person who is employed as a full time or volunteer emergency medical technician (EMT) or ambulance attendant by an ambulance operation should be licensed with the Department of Community Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.

Additional certifications are available for advance and specialist EMTs. EMT instructors are also required to be licensed with the Bureau of Health Professions.
