    Rental and Leasing Agent

    Required State License(s):

    A real estate license is required.  Contact the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Commercial Services at (517) 241-9288 or visit our website at www.michigan.gov/realestate for "property management" (third parties who rent or lease for others for a fee).  Owners of rental property (landlords) who rent or lease their own real estate are not required to be licensed nor are employees of property owners who rent or lease their employer's properties in the owner's name.  See "property managers"
