    Self-Insurance Certificate

    Description:

    The Department of State certifies self-insurers in Michigan. Applicants for self-insurance must have 26 or more motor vehicles registered in the state and meet other specific criteria. Self-insurers are required to comply with all provisions of Michigan's No-Fault Insurance Act, the Financial Responsibility Act and the administrative rules for no-fault self-insurers.
