Exercise: A Guide From the National Institute on Aging

Created by the National Institute on Aging (part of the U.S. Government's National Institutes of Health) this comprehensive exercise program is created expressly with seniors in mind. The program materials consist of a workbook and a video:

  • Workbook. Packed with sample exercises, motivation tips, safety suggestions, self-tests and nutrition information. There is also a stirring introduction by John Glen, Senator and astronaut.
  • Video. Supports the workbook information with an introduction, 42 minutes of stretching, balance, strength building exercises and low-impact exercises led by Margaret Richard, star of PBS TV's Body Electric.
