Tips for Everyone
While seniors and families with children have specific nutritional needs, there are also lots of healthy eating tips and tools that apply to everyone.

For example, do you know how to make sense of the food pyramid? Do you know exactly what "one serving" really is? We'll show you. It's easy. Once you know, you can make the food pyramid work in your daily life.

We've also got some great ideas for healthy eating on a budget. Plus we've created a meal makeover tool, with great ways to make your favorite recipes a little healthier for you.

Fruits & Veggies - More Matters
The Michigan Department of Community Health, Office of the Surgeon General, Department of Agriculture and many local partners are proud to announce the Fruit & Veggies - More Matters campaign. This new campaign replaces the 5-A-Day campaign, encouraging Michiganders to eat more fruits and veggies at every eating occasion.
Food Pyramid
The food pyramid is a simple, useful tool for helping you plan your diet.
Healthy Budget
You'll often find that what's good for your health is also good for your wallet. That's because preparing your own food is one of the best ways to make sure you're making healthy choices. It's also a great way to save money compared to eating out or buying prepared meals.
Meal Makeover
Hopefully, you're enjoying lots of healthy new recipes. But you probably also have some old favorites that you don't want to give up. You don't have to!
