MI Steps Up is just the beginning. There's a whole world of websites geared toward helping you eat better. Here are some of our favorites:

USDA MyPyramid.gov
This interactive website can help you choose the foods and amounts that are right for you. Learn how to make smart choices from every food group, find your balance between food and physical activity, and get the most nutrition out of your calories. Take an animated tour of the food pyramid and get a quick estimate of what and how much you need to eat.

MyPyramid for Kids
This section contains materials created specifically for children aged 6 to 11, including an interactive computer game called "MyPyramid Blast Off," printable posters, coloring pages, and worksheets, as well as tips for families and classroom materials.

Media-Smart Youth: Eat, Think, and Be Active!
This site is an interactive after-school education program for young people ages 11 to 13. It is designed to help teach them about the complex media world around them, and how it can affect their health--especially in the areas of nutrition and physical activity.

Dole 5 a Day
This website is packed with fun activities, all designed to motivate people to eat more fruits and vegetables and to be physically active.

The Food and Nutrition Information Center
This website provides a directory to credible, accurate and practical resources for consumers, nutrition and health professionals, educators and government personnel. Visitors can find printable format educational materials, government reports, research papers and more.

American Dietetic Association
With nearly 70,000 members, the American Dietetic Association (ADA) is the nation's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. ADA serves the public by promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being.
