Tax Changes

Michigan Business Tax On July 12, 2007, Governor Jennifer M. Granholm signed Public Act 36 of 2007, officially enacting the Michigan Business Tax (MBT), effective January 1, 2008. The Michigan Business Tax will replace the Single Business Tax, which expires on December 31, 2007.
 
Income Tax Rate Change On October 1, 2007 the Michigan State Income Tax rate increased from 3.9% to 4.35%.
