FAQ
  Business Taxes
For what years is this credit available?

Answer:
A preapproval letter for the project must be issued after December 31, 1999 and before January 1, 2008, and the project must be completed within 5 years of the date of the preapproval letter. The SBT credit must be claimed in the tax year in which the Certificate of Completion is issued. It is not claimed in the year the investment is made unless the Certificate of Completion is issued in the same year. However, for a project with total credits greater than $10 million, 10% of the credits must be claimed each year for 10 years, beginning with the first year specified on the Certificate of Completion.
