  Opt-In County Foreclosure Info
Who can opt-in counties contract with for title work?
 
Answer:
MCL 211.78i(1) provides that the foreclosing governmental unit may enter into a contract with 1 or more title insurance companies or agents licensed as a title insurance company or as a title insurance agent in this state to perform the title search required under this subsection. These vendors also may provide some other key services, such as notice, publication, and even database maintenance.
