FAQ
  Opt-In County Foreclosure Info
What are the legal implications involved with offering 1998 taxes at a May 1, 2001 tax sale?

Answer:
If a lien buyer purchases a 1998 tax lien at a 2001 tax sale, the lien buyer may not have clear standing. In circumstances where taxes have gone delinquent for the same parcel in other years, the purchaser of a 1998 lien should be aware that his or her interest in the property could be extinguished as the parcel is forfeited under the new tax reversion process.
