FREE E-FILE - View offers from different software companies to see if you qualify to e-file for free.

The Michigan Department of Treasury is working with software companies to offer FREE online e-file services to qualified Michigan taxpayers.

State-Only FREE e-file Offers Fed/State FREE e-file Offers

To find out if you qualify for FREE or reduced rate e-filing the Michigan Department of Treasury encourages you to review the offers listed on our Web site. In most cases, in order to receive the FREE or reduced offer, you must access the software from the Michigan Taxes Web site by clicking on the links provided.

If you do not qualify for one of the FREE file offers, there are other offers available with a fee.

Free-File - IRS Economic Stimulus Payment: This link to the IRS Web site is provided as information only for people who have no legal requirement to file a federal tax return but must file a federal return this year in order to receive a 2008 economic stimulus payment.
