March 30th Community Forum Planned on Pontiac Financial Emergency

Citizens Invited to Meet with Emergency Financial Manager, City Officials

A Community Forum has been scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2009, in the Oakland County Commissioners' Auditorium. Emergency Financial Manager Fred Leeb, Pontiac Mayor Clarence Phillips, City Council President Art McClellan, and representatives from the Michigan Department of Treasury will be on hand to address residents' questions about the city's financial emergency and to provide information about the Public Act 72 process, under which Mr. Leeb has been appointed Emergency Financial Manager (EFM).

The Community Forum will be held in the Oakland County Commissioners' Auditorium, at 1200 North Telegraph Road, in Pontiac.

Mr. Leeb was appointed EFM by the Local Emergency Financial Assistance Loan Board (ELB) on March 19, 2009.
