Helpful Hints For Completing And Submitting Municipal Finance Qualifying Statements Online

  1. Do not change any of the municipality information that is already completed on the online qualifying statement. If necessary, enter clarifications in the comment box.
  2. Do not use dollar signs ($), commas, or decimals. Round all numeric responses to the nearest dollar.
  3. All questions, except number 9 (if applicable), must be answered.
  4. If questions numbered 10 and 11 do not apply, enter "0" for each. Do not leave them blank and do not enter "N/A."
  5. If questions numbered 12, 13, or 14 do not apply, select "yes." Do not leave them blank and do not enter "N/A."
  6. Questions numbered 15 and 16 refer to property taxes levied by the municipality.
  7. If questions numbered 15 and 16 do not apply, enter "0" for each. Do not leave them blank and do not enter "N/A."
  8. Once completed, do not forget to hit the "Submit" button. If the qualifying statement was properly received, a verification notice "Statement Received" will appear in red at the top of the screen.
  9. For your records, print a copy of the qualifying statement once it has been properly received.
