M.S.H.F.A. - Michigan State Hospital Finance Authority

The Michigan State Hospital Finance Authority was created in 1969 by the Michigan legislature by Act No. 38, Public Acts of Michigan, 1969, to issue bonds and make loans to hospitals, nursing homes, homes for the aged, hospices and certain retirement housing providers to finance and refinance the acquisition, construction, improvement or alteration of hospital facilities and the payment of project costs.
Mission Statement
The Michigan State Hospital Finance Authority will provide low cost capital financing to non-profit providers of health care services that participate in any phase of the continuum of health care.

Healthcare Facility Financing

Bond Program for hospitals, nursing homes, homes for the aged, hospices and certain retirement housing providers to finance and refinance the acquisition, construction, improvement or alteration of hospital facilities and the payment of project costs. (More)

Healthcare Equipment
Loan Program

The Healthcare Equipment Loan Program (HELP) is a tax-exempt financing plan that offers Michigan health care organizations a low-cost alternative to conventional methods of borrowing for a variety of capital-related purposes. HELP involves a group of borrowers participating in a single bond issue and sharing the costs of issuance and administrative fees associated with the bond issue. (More)
