FAQ
  Payroll Direct Deposit
What is prenotification?

Answer:
Prenotification is a process where the Direct Deposit information entered into the MI HR Self Service system is electronically transmitted to your designated financial institution for verification. To allow your financial institution sufficient time to notify the State of Michigan of inconsistencies, the Direct Deposit does not start until the first or second pay date after transmission of the prenotification.
