Detect Fraud, Prevent Fraud

Protecting the integrity of the unemployment insurance program is of the utmost importance to the Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA).

Unemployment insurance fraud increases unemployment taxes for businesses, threatens the availability of funds for people with legitimate UI claims and strains the state's unemployment trust fund.

The UIA is committed to the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of those who commit unemployment insurance fraud. You can also help in the campaign to stop fraud by becoming aware of the different types of UI fraud and how to report it.
