VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
Each year the Upper Peninsula State Fair benefits from the smiling faces of our great volunteers! They help us in the grandstand, assist families and kids at the gates, answer questions and give directions– they are fantastic and they have fun. Our top goal for 2006 is to increase the volunteer base. We hope you will consider offering your services at the 2006 U.P. State Fair. In payment for your service, we offer you our gratitude and the opportunity to have a great time at the fair
As a Volunteer you will...
- Receive Free Gate Admission for the Day(s) you volunteer for any 4-8 hour shift
- Meet Thousands of People

We need friendly, smiling faces for...
Gate Greeters work at the gates to welcome all fairgoers to the Fair and hand out schedules and maps. You would also have information to help answer questions and provide directions to daily events.
Information Booth: Use your customer service skills to answer questions and provide general assistance to fairgoers. We'll train you to answer questions about vendor lists, schedules, daily events, etc.
Grandstand Usher: You will help ticket holders find their seats during the concerts and other grandstand shows.We will provide training to familiarize you with the seating chart for each event.
Special Events: You will work special events held throughout the week such as Ladies Day.
