Governor Granholm has announced the following appointments:

WORKERS' COMPENSATION APPELLATE COMMISSION

Murray A. Gorchow, of Oakland county, is appointed for a term commencing October 1, 2009 and expiring September 30, 2013. He succeeds Granner Ries.

Granner S. Ries, of Macomb county, is reappointed for a term commencing September 14, 2009 and expiring September 30, 2010. He succeeds Martha Gasparovich who has resigned.

Gregory A. Przybylo, of Ingham county, is reappointed for a term commencing October 1, 2009 and expiring September 30, 2013.

These appointments are subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.

WORKERS' COMPENSATION QUALIFICATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Carlos F. Bermudez, of Wayne county, is reappointed to represent employee interests for a term expiring October 1, 2013.

Jeffery V. Stuckey, of Ingham county, is reappointed to represent employer interests for a term expiring October 1, 2013.

These appointments are not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.

CHAIRPERSONS

Murray A. Gorchow is appointed as chairperson of the Appellate Commission for a term commencing October 1, 2009 and expiring at the pleasure of the Governor.

Christopher P. Ambrose, of Ingham county, is appointed as chairperson of the Board of Magistrates for a term commencing October 1, 2009 and expiring at the pleasure of the Governor.
