Nassar Pleads Guilty to Criminal Sexual Conduct in Ingham County

LANSING – Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette today announced that Lawrence G. Nassar, 54, of Holt, has pleaded guilty to felony criminal sexual conduct related to sexual abuse under the guise of medical treatment.

In Ingham County, Nassar pleaded guilty to 7 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree.

The sentencing hearing will be held on January 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. All 125 reported victims, or their parents, as well as other acts victims will be allowed to give victim impact statements at the sentencing hearing.

Nassar’s next court date is November 29, 2017 in Eaton County.

Today’s guilty plea comes exactly one year after Schuette’s initial filing of criminal sexual conduct charges against Nassar.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
