When is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 3 election?

Michigan’s new voting rights allow eligible Michiganders to register and vote up to and on the day of the General Election. Voters may register or update their voter registration at their city or township clerk’s office. up to and on Election Day. To do so, voters are required to provide documentation of identity and proof of no fewer than 30 days of residency in the city or township where they wish to register and vote prior to the General Election.
 
Voters must provide a copy of these documents to their local clerk’s office in person--but can present the documents in electronic form. A complete list of accepted documents for voter registration is available online at Michigan.gov/Vote.
