How can I protect myself against new variants?
Actions that prevent the spread of COVID-19 will also prevent the spread of its new variants.
- Get vaccinated for COVID-19 and stay up to date on vaccinations including the recommended boosters.
- Wear a well-fitting mask around others while indoors in public settings regardless of vaccination status. The quality of the mask matters - learn more about how to wear a face mask. Wear a face shield in addition to a mask for additional protection if concerned.
- Stay 6 feet apart from others.
- Wash hands often.
- Ventilate indoor spaces.
