Join the University of Michigan as they overview the Michigan Veterans Cannabis (MIVetsCan) program, which includes two actively recruiting clinical trials for Veterans with chronic pain who are interested in using cannabis products for pain symptoms. The first trial assesses whether oral cannabidiol (CBD) improves chronic pain symptoms compared with placebo. The second trial is a health coaching intervention that focuses on optimizing Veterans’ use of medical cannabis products for pain symptoms.

Featuring:

  • Dr. Kevin F. Boehnke, PhD, Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Michigan Psychedelic Center in the Anesthesiology Department at the University of Michigan Medical School. Kevin is the contact PI of the Michigan Veterans Cannabis program at the University of Michigan.
  • Gabrielle Bowyer, MSW, Research Area Specialist Senior in the Anesthesiology Department at the University of Michigan. Ms. Bowyer is the lead cannabis coach in the Can-Coach trial of the Michigan Veterans Cannabis Program at the University of Michigan.
