Project: Through coordinated efforts with other projects within the Calhoun ISD and within the community, Calhoun ECS's CTF Family Coach will focus on building protective factors in these vulnerable populations. Understanding of child development will be fostered through home visits and playgroups. Social connections will emerge for families as they participate in playgroups and develop support networks with other families. The Family coach will inform and empower families to utilize the formal support systems within the county to ensure they are connected to concrete supports in times of need. Family Coaches will support families in building their child's social emotional competence through modeling rich interactions and connect families with one another in a playgroup setting, and finally by empowering families to reach their own goals we will support parent resilience - a key to child abuse and neglect prevention!
