Project: The purpose of the Caring & Sharing Nurturing Families project is to prevent the maltreatment of children through the application of the "Nurturing Families," evidence based program by Stephen J. Bavolek, through a combination of home visitation and small group meetings across Clinton County. The program is designed to teach parents/caregivers how to respond positively to their children and replace unwanted behaviors they may be currently using or have used in the past with new positive behaviors. This is done by teaching parents/caregivers about their own self-awareness and empowering them to make better choices and maintain dignity when responding to their child's needs.
