LACASA's CAP Council works to protect children by offering evidence-based educational programs for Livingston County parents and professionals. CAP partners with the Livingston County Department of Public Health and the University of Michigan Howell Pediatrics and Teen Clinic to provide The Period of PURPLE Crying program that teaches new parents about infant crying, how to soothe a baby and how to cope with frustration in a healthy way when a baby won't stop crying.
CAP also works to protect children with its Stewards of Children workshop that teaches adults seven critical steps to prevent, reognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
