Honor the Fallen Event
The Michigan National Guard will be honoring service members lost since 9/11 during a tribute event on August 21 at the State Capitol. The day starts with an equipment display from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., followed by the tribute from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., and includes remarks by Gov. Whitmer and U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul D. Rogers, adjutant general and director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. The event is open to the public and there is no charge.
