This event has been canceled. 

Come enjoy this annual fall activity at North Higgins Lake State Park. Activities vary each year with typical events including but not limited to: carriage rides, petting zoo, site decorating, trick-or-treating, face painting, crafts, a scavenger hunt, hay rides, and outside movies. All are welcome to attend just participants coming by way of vehicle are required to have the Michigan Recreation Passport. We also ask that non-campers attending the event park their vehicles in the day-use area of the park and walk to the activities in the West Campground. The event will be canceled if there is the chance of heavy rain, snow, wind, or severe storms no later than Friday, September 20 at 12 pm or If staff are unable to get the needed volunteers for the event to be successful, a determination to cancel the event will be done on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. If you're interested in volunteering or would like more information, please call the park. 

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. Make a camping reservation online at or call 1-800-447-2757.
