Enjoy two events in one. This family friendly historical event is part French Voyager re-enactment and part traditional Powwow. Visit French encampments, watch demonstrations, visit vendors displaying authentic wares and enjoy the sights and sounds of traditional native dancing, hoop dancing, native flute music and drumming ceremonies. Traditional foods, arts and crafts will also be available.
Special Activities will include: Blessing of the Grounds on Friday at noon and Grand Entry Saturday and Sunday at noon.
Meet at the Father Marquette National Memorial. The Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to the park and event visitors will need an entry button for the weekend which cost $5.00 per person. For more information about this event please visit www.stignace.org or call 906-643-8717.
