The Friends of Island Lake is partnering with New Holland Brewing, Merrell and REI to host this exciting event as part of our centennial anniversary celebration. This is a ticketed event and will included a guided thru hike by Friends members and Merrell representatives. Guests will also be able to demo new shoes from Merrell and each guest will receive a complimentary Flash 22L backpack from REI. Following the hike, REI will lead an educational talk and then guests will have some time to play yard games and enjoy the scenery before being guided through a three course beer dinner in the park. The dinner will be presented by Palate of Milford, who has generously donated all of the food (thank you!). The Ann Arbor T-Shirt Company is picking up the rest of the tab for the Friends, meaning 100% of proceeds from this event will help fund the purchase of TrackChairs for use by park users. We are working to raise $36k to buy two chairs and a trailer. Learn more by watching our video here or by reading more at
